The Healthcare Council is an integral part of the Club's support system. Council members, are high profile leaders in the local healthcare community and have a special appreciation for the importance of social and emotional support for people living with cancer. They regularly direct their patients to Gilda's Club as a critical supplement to medical care.
Council members come from a variety of backgrounds including oncology, psycho-oncology, and other health-related fields.
Council members often share their healthcare expertise with Gilda's staff and board and participate in "Ask the Expert" program to help members better understand cancer.
