Networking groups provide opportunities for members to discuss common issues and experiences, exchange practical advice, and problem solve. Non-members are welcome to attend networking groups. Once a month we offer a men's networking group (Men's Breakfast) and a gay men's networking group. We also offer a Survivor's Networking Group bimonthly.
Educational lectures from experts and specialists empower attendees to acquire new skills, tools, information, and techniques to learn how to live with cancer. Cancer education may address diagnoses, treatments, side-effects and survivor challenges, but can also address topics like insurance, finances, legal issues, nutrition and more. Educational lectures are free and open to the public.
Programs include a broad range of body-movement, stress reduction, and creative expression classes to increase members' skills and their sense of control and well-being. Typical programs include yoga & meditation, watercolor classes and writing classes. Programs are open to members only.
Social activities are among the most popular offerings at Gilda's Club. From our holiday parties to monthly themed social events, these activities are meant to build a sense of community and belonging for all our members. All social activities are open to members, and their family and friends.
