A donation to Gilda’s Club South Florida’s cancer support program takes on special meaning when made in honor or memory of someone you care about, or when it commemorates a holiday, anniversary, or other occasion.
Your tribute gift ensures that Gilda’s program of support is available to anyone impacted by cancer—for FREE. An average of 115,000 Floridians are diagnosed with cancer each year; when you add in their families and friends, the number of people impacted by cancer grows exponentially. Thanks to you, the Gilda’s Club program is here when they need it most.
When you make a gift in honor or memory of someone, you may choose to have Gilda’s Club send a card to a loved one informing them of the gift. The card includes information about Gilda’s Club, what the tribute gift makes possible, but does not indicate the amount of your gift.
For example, a tribute card might read:
Dear Alex, a generous gift to Gilda’s Club South Florida was recently received from David Rose in celebration of your birthday! This gift will help Gilda’s Club continue to provide free cancer support services in our community so no one faces cancer alone.
Dear Marsha, a generous gift to Gilda’s Club South Florida was recently received from Amanda and Ben Schapiro in memory of Michael Scott. This gift will help Gilda’s Club continue to provide free cancer support services in our community so no one faces cancer alone.
